MISSOURI and Kansas are old rivals. In the 1850s thousands of Missourians rode into Kansas, seized polling stations at gunpoint and fraudulently elected pro-slavery candidates.
They were asked for prison terms of up to 7.5 years for each journalist for publishing photos of a prosecutor who was held gunpoint by militants in March.
