1.1. The results may be summarized as follows: (1)0.2—0.4 ml of 5% nikethamide introduced into the perfusate entering the carotid sinus produced momentary respiratory inhibition.
2.Nicotinamide as the major metabolite of nikethamide in urine is identified by gas chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS). This method is simple and few biological specimen are needed.
