renunciate

1.Enduring patience is the highest austerity. "Nibbana is supreme," say the Buddhas. He is not a true monk who harms another, nor a true renunciate who oppresses others.

诸佛说：“忍辱最好的德行，涅盘至上。”出家人不他人，人者不沙门。

2.Even though he be well-attired, yet if he is posed, calm, controlled and established in the holy life, having set aside violence towards all beings — he, truly, is a holy man, a renunciate, a monk.

虽有庄严其身，若他平静的、脱离了烦恼、制了诸根、拥有道智、完全清净及舍弃了对一切众生的嗔恨，那麽，他的罗门，沙门，比丘。（注：在此，罗门、沙门与比丘都指阿罗汉。）
